Violet & Matilda joined the Library family in March of 2021. These fluffy gray sisters were found at the Stonington Care and Control by our Children's Librarian, Roberta Donahue. They live on the second floor of the library and are curious, playful and love people!
Mito was a rescue from Focus on Ferals in Uncasville. He was found on Powerhouse Road and was given the name Mito – short for Mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell. Mito was a wonderful ambassador for the Library while he was here. Due to health issues, he has relocated to a private home where he is king of all he surveys. He is very happy and is doing great in his new home!
Emily joined the staff of the Mystic & Noank Library in 1989. She found a home at the library among the books as an abandoned kitten saved by a library patron. A domestic tabby cat, Emily was blessed with a wonderful home and life.
We have a scrapbook of her life available in the Spicer Reading Room. Her many appearances in newspapers, magazines and books can be seen in the scrapbook.
She had a wonderful 17 years because of all the love and friendship that she received from all her admirers.
